Life is worth the living, baby. So let's just live it!

On Tuesday, April 5th I took off for Washington DC, on a quest to see the famed Cherry Blossoms which line the Tidal Basin and Jefferson Memorial. The National Cherry Blossom Festival had already been going on for over a week, almost two, and the bloom time was almost up. I knew if I didn't go now, I'd miss my chance to see them this year. Due to financial constraints, I was unable to make the journey in 2010. I wasn't going to let that happen in 2011. "Life is worth the living, baby. So let's just live it," kept swirling in my head. As I was driving, Tim McGraw's "Live Like You Were Dying" played several times, so I knew I was on the right path. Sometimes, you must throw caution to the wind and step out into the deep....ok, so driving 6 hours just to see some pretty tree flowers wouldn't likely constitute 'stepping out into the deep', but I knew it was something I needed to do to retain, and fan the flame of the life within me. Its not something I typically do, but I knew that 'now is the time.' So, I did it. Talking with a friend while on the road I sang, "On the road again, just can't wait to get on the road again." I am a ramblin' gal! What a great time I had, being spontaneous, living life to the fullest, embracing all that this world has to offer.....the beauty of creation at its most beautiful! Some times, you just need to....JUST DO IT! You'll be so glad you did!
